This was reported the other day.
"President Barack Obama is facing criticism after using a podium and teleprompter to address the media in a sixth grade classroom. Although Obama was not speaking to the students from the podium, questions are being asked as to why the president needed a teleprompter to address the media.”
You can all remember President Bush talking to grade schoolers , in Florida, on 9/11. There he was sitting, on a very small chair, talking to the kids. He wasn't using the kids for a political purpose......no podium in the classroom....no telepromter to address the media. He was skewered for not leaving the kids right after he was informed of one of the planes hitting one of the towers. He didn't want to scare the kids. He left after approx. 3 minutes and the kids were happy.
Here Obama was using kids for political purposes. Notice the secert service behind him? I guess he was worried that a bunch of 6th graders would rush him and do him harm. He had to make it all about his agenda, not the kids.
Obama is self destruting. I see he broke yet another champaign promise. He promised no more "No Bid" contracts. Well it seems one of his large contributers just recieved a very large "No Bid" contract. Of course it was only reported on Fox News which had the documentation.
"Despite President Obama's long history of criticizing the Bush administration for "sweetheart deals" with favored contractors, the Obama administration this month awarded a $25 million federal contract for work in Afghanistan to a company owned by a Democratic campaign contributor without entertaining competitive bids, Fox News has learned. "
"I think the administration should explain what the decision was based on, and why a no-bid contract was given in this case, particularly given that Mr. Obama came in on a pledge of 'no more no-bid contracts,'" said Melanie Sloan, executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.
"There's really no explanation of why they had to make an exception in this case. And based on the facts before us, it doesn't appear that there was a need for an exception. It's not as if this was something urgently needed today; they couldn't have taken the time to get the bids, and make sure that American people were getting the best value," she added.
Contacted by Fox News, Checchi confirmed that his company had indeed received the nearly $25 million contract but declined to say why it had been awarded on a no-bid basis, referring a reporter to USAID.
His lies and broken promises just keep piling up....hope everyone is keeping track.
Since I wrote this I am now not so sure it was Secret Service behind him. It may have been one of his Cabinet Secretaries....which is just as bad. It does prove he is trying to make this a photo opp with kids and show the American people how he cares for children.....not raising the deficit for the kids to pay for! Nice try!
