Fall elections

I was asked if I was going to blog about the election. I really didn't give it much thought…..but…. “Happy Days are here again…....The sky is blue…….” I really do feel better where our country is now going. The brakes have been slammed on!! In 2 more years, we’ll finish the job and reverse the direction. In Iowa we got rid of 3 activist Supreme Court Judges and elected a conservative Governor. We can now stop the run away spending, get taxes back in order, start recovering jobs and eliminate the give-a-way programs that have hurt Iowa’s economy so much. My Representative to Congress was re-elected (D)Bruce Braley… barely! Ben Lange ran an honest and upbeat campaign with NO negative ads! He just talked about where he thinks the country should be heading and the programs that Braley supported. Just truthful facts. Braley could not dispute the facts nor run on his record of supporting Obama and Pelosi so he did nothing but run negative ads about Ben. His ads were deceitful, mean spirited and outright LIED about Ben. It's too bad people belived his garbage instead of researching the facts for themselves. It seems that if you are a Democrat today, you really aren't interested in the truth but believe mis-leading sound bites and false information. They are incapable of thinking for themselves. If Ben would have just countered some of the deceitful ads… just a little……. The good thing is that Bruce Braley is now irrelevant in Congress…his votes against the Republican agenda will not matter …except in 2012. Braley recieved 49% of the vote and Ben 48%. In the past 2 elections Braley has been well over 50%. I’ll guarantee now ….if he continues to support Obama and runs in 2012… he’s toast!!
